Poinsettia Wreath
Thought I'd share some more holiday cheer... Here's the poinsettia wreath I've been working on for a little over a year now.

It is still not quite complete; it needs to have beads glued to the middle of each flower to cover up the straight pins used to attach the flower to the wreath form. The beads will probably be white or gold, since they're supposed to look like flower stamens.
This wreath is made by cutting ribbon on the diagonal to form diamond shaped pieces. Three diamonds form each flower. I pleat the ribbon across the short side at the points, and then wire three pleated ribbons together to form the flower.
I used velvet ribbon with a plastic back for the bright and dark red flowers and double-faced satin ribbon for the cream flowers. The leaves are made using green satin and green grosgrain ribbon. The flowers are attached to a 14" styrofoam ring with long straight pins. If anyone is interested in further instructions, email me.

At first I had no idea what you were talking about Dan. My browser refreshed the comments but not the background/image.
Safari is quirky...

Hmmm, I wonder if that's what happened to me. They were here one day, gone the next and now they appear to be back to stay. I bounce between IE at work and Mozilla at home - may have been getting different refreshes between the two. I'm no stranger to quirky browsers, having gone through several versions of Voyager on the Amiga before migrating to the PeeCee. How about that tabbed browsing? I like the pop-up blocker, with Mozilla too!

Well Safari is the Mac version of Mozilla, so if the trees disappeared when you went home, I would say that was the case. :)
Either that or she was playing around with the format while you were viewing the site.

Well Dan, it appears I was wrong, she has decided that it was operator error, so you are at fault. :)
Just remember that, Dan, come Thursday. -I- was nice...saying fault was in the browser, or Diane was adjusting settings...
