Kids These Days

Found a link to an article on Electronic Gaming about 9-12 year olds playing classic Atari games. Some highlights: Playing Pong: "My line is so beating the heck out of your stupid line. Fear my pink line. You have no chance. I am the undisputed lord of virtual tennis." And, playing Space Invaders: "I'm sure everyone who made this game is dead by now." So. Funny. Little bastards.

Speaking of little bastards, we were at the grocery store on Saturday, and as we were getting into the car to leave, saw this kid take a grocery cart which he had just unloaded, and give it a hefty push out into the parking lot. The car he was getting into was right next to one of the cart returns.

Kris and I decided that if we ever have kids, and one of them does that, they're going to get to collect all the carts from the whole parking lot and walk them back to the store.

The best part: Kris says as we're contemplating the issue on the drive home, "Kids are like programs. You've got to debug them before they go out in the world and make you look bad."

Yes, your children are only a product of what they learn at home and the examples that they see.

It's pretty obvious if you've ever visited Tampa.

Good solution to the problem, by the way. I like the entire clean up project.

Some kids are easier to de-bug than others! Biology DOES count...
genetics50/Environment50...so say the scientific studies, and my own reality pretty much confirms that!
