$2.71 - $2.99 in Nacogdoches according to KTRE's Pump Patrol which relies on input from the general public and has not been verified by them or me.

$2.97 & $2.99 are the norm according to my own eyeballs as I ran errands this afternoon.

I'm a liar. That was **2**.69-79. But by the next day it was 2.99-3.69... Fortunately the "Cheap" station is right by my home...But I can't help but wonder if I'm financing foreign bad buys buying there? But I think buying it from ANONE is buying it from bad guys of some sort. I sure do like to drive around occassionally, tho'...but then, they know how addicted we are!!

I DODGED THE SPIKE!

I filled up the weekend before Katrina for $2.48 then filled up again tonight for $2.92 avoiding the $2.97/$2.99 top price reached here last week. My excitement however, is tempered by the fact that the price went up by $.44 between fill ups :-p

My CHEAP store is back to NEAR pre-Katrina prices....just 10 cents over @ $2.59. But I've stayed home so much I don't need a fill-up yet! But I prob better go ahead b-4 it starts back up...for whatever the next excu, uh, reason is. However, the next closest station is $2.70.

Well, it's back down to $2.69 here. I hate how the news only reports the unusual gouging. If the price goes up at all based on the events of the previous day, then you know they are gouging. That stuff takes months to refine, process, and deliver you know.

Early last week it was $2.75 here. Friday is was down to $2.65. Sunday $2.45. Tonight on my way home, $2.35.

At this rate, in a couple weeks it will be free. :)

Sept 29: Gas is now up to $3.49 at the station where I usually fill up. The Georgia state gas tax was repealed for the month of September, and they said on the radio this morning that we should expect a 25 cent increase, but the prices have shot up about 60 cents in the last two days...
