Tulsa

I'm back in Tulsa for the next week. We flew in Saturday morning, arriving just in time for rain. I had to stand on the curb while Ronnie and Kris brought the car around so that I didn't have to walk through ankle-deep water in my sandals. Other than that, the trip here was uneventful.

So far we've gone to a couple of restaurants (only one from The List) and visited Tim's apartment. It's raining again today, so it's sort of gray and dreary. But I suppose something is better than nothing.

Athena and I walked around campus on Saturday afternoon. I wanted to see what had changed on campus... the new mosque that is nearly finished (should be open in the fall), the sigma nu house that was demolished at the end of Harwell field, and the renovation of Sharp Chapel is pretty much all that has changed.

Kris is playing video games - his second run through on Ratchet and Clank 2. He's also been playing Resident Evil 3, usually in the evenings right before he goes to bed, causing him to have nightmares. Great.

Even though we haven't done much, it's really nice to be on vacation.

Be sure to check out downtown while you're here... the Blue Dome area has grown since you moved. :)

I think a happy hour or two is in the plans, and yes, Phil, Kris played some Rez last night.

Yeah, I've decided that Rez should have been released as Lawnmower Man: the game. Watch out, he's going to destroy the world in his pixelated cyber space of music and geometric shapes!

Well, we've been back at work for a week - and nothing really happened there either! Today is Saturday - and I'm at Orientation - which I saved you from (you can thank me later.) Let me tell ya - it's PFB so be glad you didn't waste your time being here! We're working hard checking out the evil cyborg - looking at your wedding pics and reading past blogs. I refuse to do any real work for the Medusa crowd today.

Ooh. Probably shouldn't write negatory comments about the Medusa crowd. You don't know who else is reading this. :)

Hey, sorry couldn't hook up with you in Tulsa. I flaked. With my wife and kid in tow it's pretty easy...I'm sure you understand. Anyway, things are cool in LA. Hope all is well in Georgia. By the way, just showed Crapisode I to some friends. They loved it. Gimme your number when you shoot one back.
